What to Expect 10 Years After a Hair Transplant ?

What Happens 10 Years After a Hair Transplant?

Many clients ask us if their hair transplant is going to last through the years, so we have put together some Q&A to clarify what to expect after 10 years from your hair transplant.

1. How long will my transplanted hair last?

The transplanted hair is taken from the back and the sides of the head, and there is a reason for it, because those hair are more resilient to the male pattern hair loss, that is why you will notice to many men that are bald, they do not have hair on the top or the temples, but their hair at the back is still there even when they are very old. So all the hair is taken from the back and the sides which they will last for years to come.

2. What about the rest of the hair, the non-transplanted?

The rest of the hair on the temples or at the crown area will continue to thin or effected by hair loss, except from the transplanted hair that were put there by our surgeons. It is best after your hair transplant to use topical solution like minoxidil or finoxidil to keep all your hair strong.

3. Changes in Hairline and Thickness

A skilled surgeon will consider future hair loss when planning your transplant, aiming for a natural look that lasts.

4. Importance of Hair Care

Having a daily hair care routine is very important, like using mild shampoos, avoiding the sun (wearing hats), limiting the heat exposure through air blowers. Moreover, having a healthy lifestyle will keep your hair healthy and strong for the years to come.

Hair Transplants do work and can give long lasting results when they are done from an experienced surgeon at a clinic that has a proven record of successful cases.
